| 9 women
gathered at Brookfield’s restaurant in Roseville to enjoy a sunny days
ride. The temp. had been
hovering around 100 for most of the week, but the weatherman assured us
the temp would be down around high 80’s for the weekend. We began our ride to Murphy’s by
heading to Folsom Dam then to Green Valley Rd. then on to El Dorado
Hills Blvd. This is where two other members joined us. By the time we got to Murphy’s the
temp had exceeded expectations and climbed to around 95 degrees. No
matter, everyone was having a good ride and it was fun to just be on the
road. We had lunch at Grounds Café in
Murphy’s, the food was fresh and flavorful with moderate prices and
great service. The central topic of conversation was the upcoming Ride-in to
Redding. We all lingered in
town for around 45 minutes after lunch, some wanting to take a look in
some of the shops and others wanting to cool off with an Ice Cream Cone. The route home is always a combination of some wanting to take a different route and others wanting to stay with the pack. All in all it was a good day for a ride with the added bonus of enjoying the company of other women who like to ride. |
