It turned out to be a wonderful day for a ride. The weather was just about perfect. We took off down Madison Ave to Hwy 80E to Hwy 5 South to the Garden Hwy exit. It was a super ride along the Feather River. The road was a bit rough (no laughter please) in some places but we all lived through it and enjoyed some beautiful scenery. Then we stopped for lunch at Case Lupe's in Marysville. After lunch, a group went on around the Buttes. From Marysville, it is about a 50 mile round trip. The countryside is gorgeous, with so much green. Another group of us went on up Hwy 20 and took a trip along the back roads to Hwy 49, back to Auburn and Sacramento. Another small group went back to Sacramento along Hwy 99. All in all it was a super ride and we had 13 bikes! Regretfully no one remembered their camera. Usually we have 10 of them!!!! |
